ACRP 2023 Speaker Details: February

We look forward to seeing you in Dallas for ACRP 2023—the place to be for clinical research professionals. To ensure that you have a successful conference experience, we have outlined these “need-to-know” speaker details to help you prepare.

Hotel Reservations

It has come to our attention that "the largest robotics competition in the world" is taking place from April 25 - May 4 and hotel rooms may sell out across the city. We strongly encourage you to book your reservations at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel as soon as possible. Take advantage of the $229/night (plus taxes and fees) discounted room rate at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel. The reduced rate expires on March 29, but we cannot guarantee that rooms will be available in March.

Speaker Registration Request Form

All speakers must register for the conference via this link. Once you will identify your session type (Workshop, General, Signature Series, etc.), the form will indicate the number of complimentary registration day(s) you will receive. If you would like to register for additional days, you will have the option to do so. You will receive an email from ACRP’s customer service team once your registration request form has been processed (please allow up to five business days).

Submit Your Speaker Slides by March 20

Please download and customize your PowerPoint template. If there is more than one speaker, please update slide two to include all speakers. If you have disclosures, please edit slide three accordingly. There is a slide template for polling questions. Your session slides must be uploaded to the Speaker Service Center by Monday, March 20. Thank you in advance!

We are pleased to share these effective practices for designing conference slides that are clear and engaging:

  • Be Engaging: Include content that will grab your audience’s attention, such as interesting facts or images, a reflective question asked to the audience, or polling questions. Avoid busy tables and graphics that will be unclear on the screen.

  • Concise Flow: When developing your slides, make sure your presentation has a cohesive, logical flow to it. Establish your key points and clearly define their importance and impact in a concise, digestible manner.

  • Be Clear: Start with your learning objectives and end with a summary and take-home points. If there are resources, links, or tools that would be helpful to the audience, please include them.

  • Less Is More: Avoid text-heavy slides and try to avoid reading your slides word-for-word. Use the slides as a guide to communicate your key points. A simple rule is “< 6 words per line, < 6 lines per slide, and < 30 characters per line.”

  • Proper Copyright: If your slides contain images, illustrations, figures, tables, or text that have been published elsewhere or comes from another source, you are responsible for requesting and securing permission from the copyright holder to include the material in your slides.

Promoting Your Session

The ACRP Speaker Marketing Toolkit has graphics, draft copy, and suggestions for promoting your conference session to your networks via social media—and beyond. We make it easy for you to position yourself as a thought leader in clinical research!

Health and Safety Protocols

All ACRP conference participants are required to have a negative COVID-19 test result from an FDA-authorized over-the-counter antigen test within 24 hours prior to arriving at the event. You will be asked your results at registration. This is to enter and participate in ACRP 2023 educational sessions, concurrent meetings, and Expo Hall events. Read more.
