Lauren Blizzard

Lead Associate, Clinical Research

ETRA

After earning her Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Lauren began her career in a genetics laboratory focused on craniofacial and neurological development. Her work in the lab supported publications in American Journal of Human Genetics, Journal of Developmental Biology, Genesis, and Human Molecular Genetics. Seeking more patient-focused research opportunities, Lauren transitioned into regulatory affairs at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. In this role, she considered the ethical and regulatory aspects of clinical research proposals and supported two learning health networks driven by patient co-production. Lauren is currently in an early talent rotational program at Merck where she is able to develop across a broad range of disciplines while maintaining focus on the most important part of clinical research—patients.
