Rochelle is a data-driven health equity strategist and clinical research professional with over two decades of experience in the biomedical research industry, primarily at the site level with some of the nation’s leading academic-affiliated, NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers. She is a board-certified public health SME with a profound understanding of the intersectionality of public health and clinical development, aimed at addressing health inequities. Additionally, Rochelle is a passionate pediatric hematology patient caregiver and advocate. As an immigrant, female, minority, and hematology patient caregiver in America, Rochelle has firsthand experience of the long-term impact of discriminatory practices in healthcare. This personal perspective fuels her professional dedication. Rochelle has consistently worked to address institutional racism and has witnessed the positive outcomes of community-based participatory research. She advocates for enabling patients to participate in clinical trials while staying close to their homes and social networks, recognizing the significant health benefits this approach can provide.
