Jessi Klinedinst

Manager, Regulatory Affairs

HCA Healthcare Research Institute

Jessi has been in research since 2008 and in clinical research since 2017. For the first part of her career, her research focused on collective and traumatic memory within people groups who had experienced war, disease, and humanitarian atrocities. Her work included contributions to the African American Oral History Project for the Library of Congress and presentations at the National Oral History Conference. Additionally, she consulted for museums across the Southeast educating on how to conduct oral histories, write consents, and develop research tools with a focus on people who had experienced personal, collective, and generational traumas. In 2017, Jessi took those IRB and regulatory skills and applied them to clinical research with Sarah Cannon, and in 2022, took on the role of Regulatory Manager for the Research Institute at HCA. She holds a B.A. in History from Virginia Tech and an M.A. in History from Middle Tennessee State University
